that’s right, I’m signing off for a while.
it was nice while it lasted and I sincerely hope it’s not over yet. the thing is, I’ve got too much on my plate right now to devote any more time or energy to this worthwhile endeavor. wonder why?
whether I’ll get back on track (or when), that I don’t know yet. I do think of this page as an unfinished business, though. I mean, there is definitely stuff to add. loads of stuff. but that stuff had better make itself at home in my head ‘cos it’s not going anywhere for the time being. I’m working on new posts but it’s been a struggle lately, what with the kids screaming for attention, piles of books begging to be read, magazines arriving every day, movies and TV shows that I have taped or otherwise gotten hold of and can’t wait to savor, stuff like that.
REMEMBER THIS, THOUGH: this page is worth sticking around even when it’s been put on ice. there’s still the archive (including the grammar and bile pages) and there are still lots of translation tests to do as well as grammar fills and plenty of other interesting pages you may have missed. I’ll regularly be posting new psych-outs, both STRAIGHTFORWARD TRANSLATION TESTS from the bee’s knees english social club and FILL-IN GRAMMAR ones. be sure to keep checking them out.
the fill-out site, cat’s niece & bee’s whiskey, will continue for a couple months at least. when I’ve run out of fill-outs to post, there will be either psych-outs to fill the void or I’ll just start posting fewer fill-outs a week.
to sum it up, here’s what I’m going to be doing eeyore-wise in the next few weeks and months. I hope to be able to come up with some sort of a post every week or maybe a longer one every two weeks. the first of these posts will be available in about two weeks’ time. we’ll see where it takes us from there. by the way, these will mainly be vocabulary building posts (like phrasal verbs), as I believe that the English grammar has been pretty much covered on this site.
thanks for reading THE EYEBALL OF A ROOSTER and for writing encouraging notes. you can e-mail me with more ideas or questions or send a good-riddance-type of message here.
